Had an overall great experience placing a large catering order. Osman took very special care of us and made sure our items were unique and quantities were accurate. He even suggested cutting down our order by one tray so we wouldn't waste food. He gave us free dessert samples when we couldn't decide which one to choose. All our guests appreciated the quality of food. Double Ka Meetha and Dum Ka Gosht (mutton) are must-tries here, apart from their signature biryanis.

I order ginger chicken and Wednesday specials mutton Tahari very bad in taste but tea is good. The ginger chicken tastes like sweet sauce Poor quality. Even you guys don’t know how to serve mutton Tahari. It’s come with tomato chutney, boiled egg and curd. Are you guys really from Hyd? Please change your chef or hire hyd chef.

I have been a loyal customer of Deccan Delight for a long time, but my recent lunch experience was very disappointing. I visited yesterday during my lunch break, and since we have limited time, I expected the food to be ready. Unfortunately, the staff informed me that nothing was prepared yet, which is not acceptable during lunch hours. Better planning and preparation are needed to serve customers efficiently. I eventually ordered the Marag, but it was excessively salty and far below the quality and taste I have always associated with Deccan Delight. The consistency in flavor and overall food quality seems to have declined significantly. As a regular customer, it is disappointing to see the restaurant's standards slipping. I sincerely hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and focuses on improving food quality, taste, service, and overall professionalism. If these issues are not addressed, I will have no choice but to look for other restaurants. Great food and good service are equally important, and unfortunately, my recent experience did not meet those expectations.

Went on a Friday, took a friend that’s visiting Chicagoland. Got Bagara and dalcha from their special menu which came with a veg and mutton gravy curry. Tasted good but the portion contained very less meat. For $23, I’d expect better. Tried their Chicken Dum Biryani. Did not feel like an authentic biryani and flavors were a miss. Both dishes were served in Small portions, didn’t feel worth the price. We usually get their biryani catered for our events, which is very tasty and a very different experience from the dine in.

I went to Deccan Delight today for their Iftar buffet at $23.99 and had a really good experience. The buffet had a great variety, and I enjoyed trying different dishes. The Haleem was rich, smooth, and full of flavor, while the biryani was perfectly spiced and aromatic — definitely my favorites. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a nice place to break fast. Overall, it was worth it and I’d happily go again.
